The transmission database is used
by all electronic services of the program
(in the case of Taxprep
for Trusts, slip transmission service). In this database, Taxprep for Trusts saves the
detailed list of the completed transactions, and that, in order to facilitate
EFILE follow-up. It is also in this database that the configuration of
the RL-16 slip numbers is saved.
The transmission database is set in the
location determined during installation of the program. In the majority
of cases, it is not necessary to modify this configuration.
However, it is possible to define a different
location that the one determined at the moment of the installation. For
example, if you want the transmitters to share a multi-user
work environment.
You can also enable or clear a message
display in the case where the location of the database transmission is
not available.
Note:
The database transmission contains the list of EFILE transactions. It
does not contain the files that are generated to transmit the slips via the
Internet. Rather, these files are generated in the
save location specified in the configuration.
How to define the database location
To modify the transmission database
location, proceed as follows:
- On the Tools
menu, click Options and Settings.
- Under Electronic
Services, click General.
- In the Location area, click
to select the location.
- Click OK twice.
Notes:
- By default, Taxprep for Trusts
uses the UNC paths to define the network location of the transmission
database. If when installing, you indicated a UNC path and thereafter
you have to modify the location by a location using a mapped drive, we
recommend that you change the format before modifying the database location.
- After any location change
of the transmission database, verify the configuration of the RL-16 slip
numbers.
